Born in 1953 and educated in Tang, Athlone and Galway, Irishman Frank McLynn has been in the English language consultancy business since 1988, when he and his wife Alison Moffat founded the Englischer Sprachdienst GbR. (ESD) www.englischersprachdienst.de in Munich, Germany.
Having spent some time in London and New York, Frank finally settled in Munich over forty years ago and worked for a number of years for Berlitz as Head of the English Department/Berlitz Teacher training.
The Englischer Sprachdienst GbR. utilizes Frank and Alison’s combined long-standing experience in English tuition and translation. Satisfied clients include many of Germany’s leading companies: Allianz, Siemens, E.ON Energie, Bucher Verlag, Airbus, Triumph International, Klotz AIS, Marc O’ Polo, Strenesse, TÜV SÜD and BMW, IAMT mbR, to name but a few.
The English language in all its forms and applications has been a lifelong interest for Frank, who has expanded this interest to include the organisation of successful Irish theatre, literature, music & dance presentations in Munich.
Frank is founder of the Deutsch-Irischer Freundeskreis Bayern e.V. (German-Irish Society), Co-Founder of Green Farm Irish Folk Festival, Founder of Greensleeves GbR., Member of The Munich Céilí Band, Co-Founder Irish Folk Club Munich, Co-Founder of St. Patrick's Day Parade Munich.
